Sponsorship Requests

UICCU is proud to sponsor many of the events and programs in the communities we serve. Our allocations committee meets monthly to evaluate the applications and determines funding based on eligibility and compliance within our donation guidelines. UICCU is unable to grant all application requests, but will certainly favor those that affect the good of our membership and the community. To make a request please submit a donation application.


Free Tax Preparation for Low Income Iowans

UICCU is a partner of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA). You may be eligible for free tax preparation of your 2017 tax returns. To get information about VITA, visit the following links based on the county where you live in Iowa:

  • Johnson County - Visit Johnson County's website for information .
  • Scott County - Visit United Way of QC's website.
  • Polk County - Members should call 2-1-1- from a landline or 515-246-6555 from a cell phone
  • Black Hawk and Linn Counties - Members should call 2-1-1 from a landline or 319-739-4211 from a cell phone
  • Outside these Iowa counties - Check on the IRS website (IRS.gov) for a VITA site near you.
