- Q&A
What is MyPhotoCard?
MyPhotoCard gives members the ability to design their own credit card. Either choose from existing catalog options or upload a favorite photo. It is a completely optional service which is paid for only by those members that choose to participate. The cardholder's account must be in good standing.
What does it cost per card?
$10.
Are all images approved, or is there a screening process?
The catalog images are pre-approved and do not go through a review process. All custom images uploaded by members will be reviewed by an independent third party to ensure their compliance with trademark/copyright laws as well as program policies.
How will I know if my image is approved?
You will receive an email from the review team letting you know if your design was approved. If rejected, you will get an e-mail with an explanation on the rejection.
When the card renews, will it keep my design?
Yes.
Does this change my account number?
The account number does not change, but your expiration date will. If you use the card for automatic payments, you will need to update your information with those payees.
Can I get it on my UICCU debit card?
At this time, the service is only available for UICCU Credit Cards.
How long does it take to receive the card?
If approved, your newly designed card will arrive in 8-11 days.
Can I keep using my current card until the new one arrives?
Yes, your existing plastic will continue to work until you activate the new one.
Will this program work on discontinued product lines like UICCU's Visa Gold or HomeCard?
Yes, the only difference is that the replacement fee is $15 on Gold Cards and $10 on all others.
Can my joint cardholder have the same design?
Yes, simply click the "apply design to additional cardholders" option when completing your order.
How often can I redesign it?
There is a 60 day lockout period on new designs, so roughly every 2 months if you wish.
Can my joint cardholder have a different picture on their card?
Yes, but you will need to order them both on the same day to avoid the previously mentioned "lockout" period.
What do I do with my old card when my new one arrives?
Activate the new one, and then destroy the old one please.
